CLMA Expands its Community Pass Program with Royal Ontario Museum
January 27, 2025—Clarington Library, Museums & Archives (CLMA) is thrilled to expand its Community Pass initiative to include a brand-new partner, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto.
Part of its innovative Library of Things, Community Passes allow CLMA customers to borrow a family admission pass to a local attraction or activity. Other organizations partnering with CLMA in the program include the Canadian Automotive Museum, Central Lake Ontario Conservation Area (CLOCA), Municipality of Clarington, Ontario Parks, and Reptilia Whitby. Additional Library of Things expansions at CLMA have included eReaders, telescopes, energy meters, and snowshoes.
“We’re always excited to add a new collection or welcome a new partner,” says Monika Machacek, Chief Executive Officer of Clarington Library, Museums, & Archives. “The Community Pass program and the Library of Things are amazingly popular. It’s wonderful we’re now partnering with ROM to offer this amazing opportunity to our customers.”
The ROM Community Pass provides general admission for up to four (4) visitors and may be used multiple times during the loan period.
