Best-Selling Author Robert Rotenberg Visits CLMA Bowmanville Library
April 7, 2025—Clarington Library, Museums & Archives invites you to an evening of mystery with criminal defense lawyer and best-selling author Robert Rotenberg at the Bowmanville Library on April 16. Mr. Rotenberg will be speaking with communications expert and author Lloyd Rang about One Minute More, an enthralling action thriller following one of Toronto's favourite detectives.
“Canadian fiction is amazing. Crime novels are exciting. Put them together, and you've got a recipe for a real page-turner!” says Lloyd Rang, Municipality of Clarington Councillor for Ward 2 and Clarington Public Library Board member. “Talking with the author lets you see the creative process behind the book, and that's always a treat. That's doubly true when the author is Robert Rotenberg, a Toronto criminal defence lawyer who has a unique view into crime fiction. I read his latest instalment in the Ari Greene series in one sitting, and I can't wait to talk with him about it.”
Robert Rotenberg is the author of several bestselling novels, including Old City Hall, The Guilty Plea, Stray Bullets, Stranglehold, Heart of the City, Downfall, and What We Buried. He is a criminal lawyer in Toronto, a television screenwriter, and a writing teacher. His One Minute More is the heart-pounding prequel in the detective Ari Greene series. Set in 1988—a mere 100 hours before world leaders gather for the G7 summit—One Minute More follows young police officer Ari Greene on his first-ever case: a border-crossing chase of a would-be assassin about to cross into Canada to kill the heads of the seven most powerful countries in the world.
An Evening of Mystery with Robert Rotenberg will be held at CLMA Bowmanville Library on Wednesday, April 16 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The event is drop in with no registration required.
