Changing your Communication Preferences
Customers can contact Information Services by calling 905-623-7322 ext. 2712 or by emailing hello@cplma.ca to change their contact preferences or for further information.
Library Material Notifications
An automated notification systems is used to contact customers about materials for the following reasons:

- Holds available for pick up
- Courtesy reminder 3 days before due date
- 2 days overdue notice
- 14 days overdue notice
- 21 days billed for lost item notice
- 31 days balance of account notice
- 45 days balance of account notice
- 65 days balance of account notice
- 90 days referral to Collection Retrieval Agency
Notification Options
CLMA contacts customers using one (1) of the following methods, depending on contact preferences:
- Automated phone system
- Phone calls are sent from the following phone number: 905-623-7322
- This is an automated message.
- Email
- Emails are sent from the following address: sirsi@perseus.sirsidynix.net
- This is a one-way email service. Any email replies will not be received by staff.
- SMS/text message
- Text messages are sent from the following phone number: 1-365-800-6683
- This is a one-way messaging service. Any text replies will not be received by staff.
By electing to receive email or text/SMS notifications, customers consent to receiving electronic communications from CLMA in the form of automated notifications regarding holds and overdues.
It is understood that customers may unsubscribe from these notifications at any time. By selecting text/SMS notifications, it is acknowledged that customers are subject to any carrier’s text messaging rates.
Program Registration Notifications
CLMA provides registration and payments for programs through Eventbrite. By providing your email address at the time of program registration, the customer will receive an automated reminder several days and/or forty-eight (48) hours before the start of the program.
In some instances, customers may be contacted regarding changes to a program (e.g. program cancellation).
Emails are sent from the following address: noreply@eventbrite.com.
If customers would prefer not to receive this email reminder or not use your personal email when registering for a program, please use the CLMA address: hello@cplma.ca. A phone number is required for program registration.
eNewsletter
CLMA offers several eNewsletter services through Mailchimp. General eNewsletters are sent approximately once every two weeks.
Emails are sent from the following address: hello@cplma.ca.
Customers can sign up for the general eNewsletter on our Subscribe page or through the card registration process.
Mailchimp uses a double opt-in process, meaning the customer must subscribe to the eNewsletter, then confirm their subscription through a confirmation email.
By electing to receive the eNewsletter, customers consent to receiving electronic communications from CLMA in the form of the Library eNewsletter.
Customers may unsubscribe from receiving CLMA eNewsletters at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each eNewsletter, or by contacting Information Services at 905-623-7322 ext. 2712 or by emailing hello@cplma.ca.
